A Spring break in My Step!

Soo, things are fabulous to say the least! I am officially on Spring Break and loving every bit of it! I mean of course I am running around constantly doing something, but it is something I enjoy doing. I am savoring every second of every day of this freedom.

I got to join my best friend Jenny to Southwestern Law School today, and it has rekindled my flame of desire to be a masochist and venture my way to Law school after I complete my undergrad at CSULA. I was so inspired by all 3 of her Professors who were just so damn intelligent. Of course they were using law terms that I couldn't understand and talking about Rule 11 and how attorney's abuse it, but I wasn't and still am not quite sure as to what it all means, but hopefully soon I will find out. It was just so nice, and all the people were really welcoming and 2 of the 3 Professors came to me and introduced themselves and talked to me, which made my experience all that better. For some reason, Law Professors have this reputation of being evil people with horns sticking out of their heads, and I can now confidentally say that they do not have horns and are quite nice. I also got a grand tour of the old Bullocks mall, which is now home of Southwestern Law School. It was so neat to imagine that at one time, it was such a new concept and such a fancy place. That building, at one time, was such an amazing place to shop and so full of class. They had a polo lounge, a women's sitting room, a nice cafe' and a DAMN nursery to drop their kids off so they could enjoy a peaceful shopping experience. The interior is all art deco and really why it is so fascinating to me, is because people had class and style back in the day. The surroundings of that mall was not a bunch of homeless people, and people who could care less about their community. The old Bullocks building, now Southwestern Law school just represents old L.A. and everything it embodied. I'm glad that whoever bought the building, turned it into a Law school and kept everything pretty much original; I mean they still have the perfume cases in the main lobby!!

All in all, my Spring break has started off just like I could have hoped for. I have a week and a day left and the sun is shining on me and I am taking it all in! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
